We rely on batteries to run many of our electrical devices.
A battery creates an electric current from a chemical reaction.
Energy can be stored in batteries it is needed to power electrical devices.
Batteries only conduct electricity when its connected to a full circuit.
Renewable and non renewable.

There are different types of batteries
Rechargeable batteries are more expensive then disposable ones.

When people throw away batteries materials can leak into the ground.
When the battery leaks into the ground it will contaminate.
Batteries contain dangerous materials, like acids and poisonous metals.
They are only found only in specific deposits on Earth.
