Chemical energy description

  • We rely on batteries to run many of our electrical devices.
  • A battery creates an electric current from a chemical reaction.
  • Energy can be stored in batteries it is needed to power electrical devices.
  • Batteries only conduct electricity when its connected to a full circuit.
  • Renewable and non renewable.

advantages

  • It can be rechargeable.
  • Energy can be stored in batteries.
  • There are different types of batteries
  • Rechargeable batteries are more expensive then disposable ones.

disadvantages

  • When people throw away batteries materials can leak into the ground. 
  • When the battery leaks into the ground it will contaminate.
  • Batteries contain dangerous materials, like acids and poisonous metals.
  • They are only found only in specific deposits on Earth.
