  • The Trail of Tears was the path which the Cherokee traveled on to reach their reservation in Oklahoma.

Religious beliefs

  • They believed in gods and spirits. For example, they believed in Unetlanvhi, Thunderers, and Nunnehi.

Ceremonies

  • The most celebrated ceremony was the Green Corn Ceremony. This was the time of year right before the corn harvest began, where people would gather to celebrate and pray for a good corn harvest this coming season.

Myth

  • The myth the Cherokee told was about the origin of strawberries. As children, this myth was told to children to explain the origin of strawberries, or how they came to the land.
