JOB REQUIREMENTS/ DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct or coordinate an organizations budget activities to fund operations and maximize investments.
  • Confer with board and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a company or it's staff in meeting objectives.
  • Direct and plan activities of organizations or businesses to ensure continuing operations
  • Prepare budgets for approval, including those for funding or implementations of programs

JOB REQUIREMENTS/ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct or coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with production
  • Negotiate or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers
  • Review reports submitted by staff members to recommend approval
  • Appoint department heads or managers and assign responsibilities to them
  • Direct human resources activities , including the approval of plans or activities

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HOURS

  • Face-to-face discussions
  • Communicating with supervisors, peers, or subordinates
  • 8 hours or more every weekday

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate school
  • Some jobs may require a master's degree
  • Some may require a Ph.d, M.D., or J.D.
