Dale Chihuly is an American Sculptor. He uses a technique called 'GLASS BLOWING' to create his sculptures.

GLASS BLOWING is a process where an artist blows AIR through a long tube to create a BUBBLE in hot glass.

The artist can shape the glass with tools and by rolling the glass on a table.

We will use plastic bottles

for our sculptures

First

we need to collect bottles around our school
Water bottles are usually made of thinner plastic, and are easier to cut.

Next

we will peel the labels, and paint the bottles with acrylic paints

Then, we use

scissors to cut the bottles

Start at the top

It will create a spiral

as you cut

using a hot glue gun,

we will attach the spirals to a piece of wire

...and we can hang our sculptures around school

for all to see...
