Child Poverty

By Kirin P. & Abi S.

Worldwide, a billion children are currently living in poverty.

1 in 5 kids are in poverty and 1 in 7 kids are born into poverty in the u.s.

In the U.S. 43% of children, out of the 15 million children, live in low-income families. 22,000 children die daily due to poverty according to UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund).

Children in poverty are less likely to reach their full potential, and more likely to drop out of school and work minimum wage jobs.

You can help end child poverty by donating money to UNICEF, One Campaign, Shot@Life, Global Giving, CARE, and The Borgen Project.
