WHAT IS CHILD PROTECTION:

  • Save the Children protects children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence in all regions of the work.

CHILD PROTECTION LEGISLATION :

  • the preferred way of ensuring a child's welfare is through support of the child's family.
  • intervention is not to exceed the level necessary to protect the child.
  • family participation in planning and decision making for children.
  • children and families have a right to information.

  • To safeguard children and promote their welfare we will:
  • 1.Create an environment to encourage children to develop a positive self-image
  • 2.Encourage children to develop a sense of independence and autonomy in a way that is appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • 3.Provide a safe and secure environment for all children.
  • 4.Always listen to children

  • In twam hospital they providing all clinical staff with child protection awareness training. We continually aim to meet recommended training levels and we report on this monthly.
  • Ensuring all staff are given information about the importance of child safeguarding and how they can support the needs of vulnerable children and young people.

PROCEDURE TALKING TO CHI LD PROTECTION:

  • If any incident happened that effect the child protection in the nursery such as : sexual abuse, fabricated illness female genital mutilation. The procedure talking is as the following,go to the next page places:

THE Procedure:

  • The concern should be discussed with the *manager/*room supervisor/*registered person.
  • The concern will be discussed with the parent
  • Such discussions will be recorded and the parent will have access to such records
  • A Common Assessment Framework (CAF) may need to be completed (England only)
  • If there appear to be any queries regarding the circumstances, the matter will be referred to the LSCB in the local authority.
