Victorian children had very weak relationship with parents. Their lives were very simple.

• While the wealthy children may have been spoiled and had a much better life than the rest, they also had what would seem to be a bad childhood.

• It was the era of nurses and nannies, the child was not raised by the woman who gave birth to him.
