We are gonna see what the bible says about our hearts
Open to psalm 51:1-6
These talk a lot about sin
Transgression, iniquity, sin
What sins do kids commit?
List on board
What is sin?
Anything we do, say, or think that goes against what god says
Anything that makes God unhappy
Have you ever committed these sins?
Our heRt is full of sin-verse 7-10
How can we have a clean heart free of sin?
If we repent by admitting and turning from sin, trust in Jesus dying on cross, our heart can be clean
Psalm 51:13-15
David is so happy to wash his sins he praises god
When we have clean hearts, we are pushed to praise god
When you ask god to make a clean heart, is your heart thankful?
Psalm 51 teaches us 3 things
1. Think about sinful heart
2. See how we need Jesus to wash our hearts clean
3. Have a thankful heart if praise when washed clean

This is like our hearts before we know Jesus
Before Jesus our hearts are messy and hard
Jesus life spent telling people about god and how much he loved them
Jesus died for us because we have all done these things
Our sin keeps us from knowing god
Name sins
He didn't stay dead, rose
He is living in heaven and wants to be your friend.
He died for you and if you believe in Jesus And are sorry for sins then he can take away all your sin
