OVER 17.46 MILLION PEOPLE LIVE THERE.

THE GEOGRAPHICAL ELEMENTS

  • The population in 2007 was
  • 16.5 million people. The capital
  • Is Santiago. Peru is located east of chile
  • So it's in the northern Argentinian area.
  • Their coastline is 3,998 miles long.

THE CURRENCY USED

  • Chilean peso is their currency
  • $1.00 is worth 0.0019 dollars there.

ACTIVITIES IN CHILE

  • Skiing, snowboarding, horse back riding, trekking, pick up convoy toys,

CHILE'S RELIGIONS

  • It is mostly a catholic religion

  • They earned independence on September 18, 1810.
  • Chile broke the Spanish rule and declared their independence.
  • The declaration ended up having more than a decade of violence.
  • It did not end until 1826.

  • A 38-seat senate, who's members are elected to serve 8-year terms, and a 120-seat
  • Chamber of deputies, who's members are elected for 4 years. Administratively, Chile is divided into 13 regions.

  • The copahue volcano had a red alert in chile and Argentina.
  • Around 2,240 people in chile are expected to be evacuated.
  • The evacuation lasted for 48 hours.
