The Tibetan Plateau is the largest plateau
Includes all of the Tibetan & Northern China region
It has the world s highest mountain - Mt Everest
Largest Canyon- Yarlung Zangbo River Great Canyon
It consists of high mountains, rivers & gorges

The Yangtze River is the third longest river (4000m)
It has high banks, so homes are safe when it floods
Yellow River is about 3000 miles long
Civilization began along the river 5000 years ago
It is nicknamed " The Great Sorrow "

The Gobi Desert is one of the driest in the world
Oasis are rare to be found in the Gobi Desert
Taklimakan Desert is nicknamed " Sea of Death"
It offers poisonous snakes, sandstorms & freezing nights
In fact, it is the second largest desert in the world

It is a wall that covers much of the northern border of China
It was built to keep out invaders from the north ( Mongols )
It started from the Qin Dynasty, millions of people worked
It was built over the course of 1000 years
The Ming Dynasty continued building the wall and finished it
