• They used bronze to create wheels and tools
• They used oracle bones
• Oracle bones are carvings on bones or shells

ZHOU DYNASTY

• They reigned for 900 years
• They kept written records of what happened daily
• Many small states broke away
• Civil war broke out and the countryside was destroyed

QIN DYNASTY

• Reigned for 15 years
• Built the Great Wall of China
• Made written language more uniform
• Formed a centralized government

HAN DYNASTY

• Lasted more than 400 years
• Strongest Chinese dynasty
• Barbarians controlled the northern part of China
• Rulers controlled different parts of southern China

MING DYNASTY

• Zhu Yuanzhang was the first ruler
• Forbidden City was built
• The city took ten years to build
• Common people could not enter the walls
