LEGENDS
Legend has it that a long time ago, a drought hit the earth when 10 suns were in the sky. One day a hero named Hou Yi took his bow and arrow to shoot down 9 of the 10 suns. He saved everyone.
One day, Chang'e gave Hou Yi a bottle of elixir that would make him immortal but he did not drink it for he wanted to stay with Chang'e his wife.
Many people were happy with Hou Yi for saving them. But one of his students wanted to steal his elixir. When that student came to steal the elixir, Cheng'e knew that she could not fight him so instead she drank it. After that she became immortal and floated up to the moon where she would have to stay forever.
