  • Spread to Southeast Asia and to East Asia
  • Buddhist teaching was incorporated into Islam
  • Gupta empire became very prominent

TAOISM

  • Founder: Lao-Tse
  • Origins: Grew form ancient Chinese philosophies
  • That we're merged into one basic teaching

PRINCIPLES

  • Tao(Dao) means "The Way"
  • Philosophical teaching focuses on balance
  • Taoism places a great emphasis on nature
  • As the example is the way people live
  • With Taoism the Yin Yang reflects the ideals of harmony and balance
