CONFUCIANISM

ORIGIN & FOUNDER

• Created during the Zhou dynasty
• Founded by Kung Fu-Tzu (Confucianism)
• He lived from around 551-479 BC
• After  the  end  of  feudalism  crime
• He spoke  of  returning  to  the  moral  standards  of  the  ancients

PRINCIPLES & DIFFUSIONS

• It  is  not  a  religion  but  rather  is  an  ethical  code
• The main goal is to have peace, happiness, and harmony on Earth
• Also deals with the five relationships.
• Parent-child, Husband-wife, Elder sibling-younger sibling
• Elder frind-younger frind, and Ruler-subject

TAOISM

• Grew from ancient Chinese philosophies
• Founded by Lao-Tse
• Focuses on achieving harmony with the univers
• Demonstrates how humans should live
• Yin/Yang demonstrates this

• Spread to areas surrounding China
