The steps of making Chocolate

Step 1

  • Cacao 
  • They are grown on a tall shaded tree
  • Mostly in the tropical regions of Africa
  • Also in Central and South America
  • The farmers cut them open to get the Cocoa beans

Step 2

  • They dry the cocoa beans
  • They then check and make sure they are fully dry
  • Then package and ship them off to the U.S

Step 3

  • After they ship the cocoa beans they take them to a factory
  • A factory in Chicago or any other factory in the U.S
  • In the factory they roast the beans

Step 4

  • After the roasting it creates Cacao Nibs 
  • Cacao Nibs are then milled
  • Cacao Nibs are the crunchy type of chocolate

Step 5

  • Chocolate liquor is then made
  • Chocolate liquor is a pure cocoa mass in liquid form
  • The mass is melted and it forms the liquor
  • The liquor is then cooled and molded into small pieces 
  • This part is called Unsweetened Baking Chocolate (bitter chocolate)

Step 6

  • Cocoa butter
  • Its goes through a process called Broma
  • It is used to extract cocoa butter from the ground cocoa beans
  • Cocoa butter is deodorized to remove strong or undesirable tastes

Step 1

  • Cocoa butter is a pale yellow vegetable fat
  • The vegetable fat is then extracted from the cocoa bean

  • It is used to make chocolate and other ointments
  • Coca butter has a cocoa flavor and a special scent

  • Chocolate liquor is then used to separate
  • It separates the cocoa butter from the cocoa solids
  • Cocoa solids are basically cocoa powder

Step 4

  • Cocoa butter uses a process called Broma
  • Is a method used to remove cocoa butter from cocoa mass
  • After that process is over it leaves cocoa solids behind
  • It uses the hydraulic press
  • Its a machine that generates a compressive force

  • Cocoa butter is used for other organizations
  • Cocoa butter is classified as the deodorized object of a cocoa bean
  • The smell is impressing to the people and it's a healthy resource 
  • Cocoa butter can specialize in chocolate and in ointments like lotion

  • Cocoa butter and Chocolate are mixed together 
  • They are then packaged with a brand and are shipped all over the world!
