As Christians we are to be godly examples in our workplace. Two areas in which we must exemplify are character, in how we act, and production, in how we work.
As Christians we should be generous with our time, money, and energy.
Proverbs 22:9 ESV
“Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.”
#2 Peacemaking
No matter where you are, it is easy to engage in petty conflict. Conflict is unavoidable but that does not mean we are to escalate or stir up trouble.
Romans 12:18 ESV
“If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.”
It is easy to set our hearts on earthly things. We need money to provide for ourselves or our families, but we must remember that God is our ultimate provider.
1 Timothy 6:17 ESV
“As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.”
No matter what job you are in, money is involved. You are either handling your own personal income or the revenue of your company.
Romans 13:7 ESV
“Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.”
We must be diligent workers in order to glorify the Lord. Our work performance can be a direct reflection on the Lord.
Colossians 3:23-24 ESV
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
