ORIGIN

  • 2000 yrs ago in Palestine, now Israel.
  • Jesus Christ was born from a virgin named Mary
  • Was the son of God
  • He was born to show people the path to rightousness
  • And to free God's people from slavery and sin.

BELIEF

  • Is to spread the word of God
  • And his love and forgiveness.
  • When Jesus rose from the grave, Christians believe that God showed his love and forgiveness.
  • In church, you eat communion wafers and drink wine. They represent the blood and embodiment of Christ.

GODS/GOD

IN CHRISTIAN BELIEF, THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD.

JESUS CHRIST

  • Jesus, the son of God.
  • Was the messenger, messiah, of God.
  • Was sent from Heaven to free people of sin, death and slavery.

MARY

  • The Virgin Mary
  • Mother of Jesus Christ
  • Pregnant by the divine interventions of God.
  • Gave birth in a manger.

CHURCHES

  • Are a place for Christians to worship
  • People usually go to it on Sunday, the Sabbath.
  • Some people, nuns or monks, live there and pray everyday.
  • Or some Christians worship at home. With or without family.
  • Worship is lead by a priest or minister.

CELEBRATIONS

  • Christmas, the day where we celebrate the birth of Jesus
  • Easter, the day where we celebrate the day he rose from the grave after three days
  • Holy Week, the last week of Jesus's life.
