FUN FACTS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY

  • Early Christians were called atheists by the Romans because they didn't pay tribute to pagan gods.
  • Jesus is mentioned more times in the Quran than Muhammad.
  • Pope Francis used to work as a BAR BOUNCER in Buenos Aires
  • There is a empty space next to Muhammad's tomb reserved for Jesus.
  • The Catholic church once put a dead pope on trial.

BUDDISM

  • BASED ON THE TEACHINGS OF BUDDHA, AND BELIEVES IN NO "ONE CREATOR"
  • They practice things such as morality, concentration, and wisdom.
  • mainly practiced in China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia
  • There are three branches: Theravada, Mahayana, Vajrayana
  • Buddha taught not to be ignorant, hate others, or get angry.

FUN FACTS ABOUT BUDDISM

  • Buddha was most likely not a vegetarian. They vowed not to harm, which effected diets.
  • Buddha didnt have the top knot; much was dirived or influnced by Greek agriculture. (Toga, hair bun, etc.)
  • Buddha treated women equally. (Score!!)
  • Buddha's tooth is in Sri Lanka. (it was removed during cremation.)

SYMBOLS

  • White, yellow, red, blue and green, the wheel of life and hand gestures named mudras were common symbols used in Buddism.
  • Lotuses symbols of purity and 'spontaneous' generation in Buddisht culture, also representing divine birth.
  • The most common symbol for Christianity is the cross, representing Christ's sacrifice.
