Hinduism

  • Three main gods: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva
  • No one founder
  • No one sacred book, the Vedas and Puranas are some of the many.
  • Clergy: Guru, holy man, Brahmin priest
  • The soul never dies, it is continually reborn, or reincarnated.
  • If people free themselves from earthly desires they will reach enlightenment and happiness.
  • Polytheistic

Some Similarities

  • Both say if you free yourself from distractions on Earth you will reach happiness, but the difference is for Christians it's Heaven and for Hindu's is enlightenment.
  • Both have some set of laws or a guide to live by: The Ten Commandments (Christianity), and The Vedas (Hinduism).
