  • They celebrate Christmas in Norway on December 25th just like us.

  • They also celebrate St.Stephens day (Dec 26).
  • They also celebrate Skjaertorsdag (Maundy Thursday "English").
  • God jul means Merry Christmas in Norwegian.

FOODS THEY EAT ON CHRISTMAS

  • Roasted pork belly: usually served with sauerkraut and boiled potatoes, Christmas sausages.
  • Pinnekjott: Salted and dried, sometimes smoked chicken.
  • Lutefisk: Stockfish that has been lying in water and lye (a way to preserve fish in the old days

  • They have a little Christmas Eve on December 23rd.
  • They have Christmas eve on December 24th just like us!
