Mos Nicolae otherwise known as Sfantul Nicolae leaves gifts for boys and girls if they leave their shoes outside the door.

INTERESTING FACTS ON ROMANIA

  • In Romania people leave there shoes outside for Mos Nicolae to leave presents!
  • In Romania,Christmas and mid-winter celebrations last from 20th December to 7th January.The 20th is when people celebrate ST.Ignatius's day.It is TRADITIONAL that if the family keep pigs one is killed on this day.The meat is used in the Christmas meals.
  • In Romania they kill bears and go door to door caroling.

The Romanian "hello" is Buna so during the Christmas time their would be "buna's" everywhere!
