ICICLE

  • An icicle is a hanging piece of ice creating by the freezing of dripping water
  • It’s a bad idea to remain under an icicle, for it may fall

MISTLETOE

  • A mistletoe is a leathery-leaved plant that grows on apple, oak, and other trees
  • I’ve been avoiding the mistletoe

POINSETTIA

  • A poinsettia is a Mexican shrub with large bracts that hide a small yellow flower
  • I have a poinsettia in my room

REINDEER

  • A deer of the tundra and subarctic regions. They are domesticated to pull sleds
  • It must be hard on the reindeer to pull Santa’s sleigh

SCROOGE

  • A Scrooge is a person who only cares about money
  • Unfortunately, there are many scrooges in this world

SLEIGH

  • A sled pulled by horses or reindeer
  • I bet Santa’s sleigh is a majestic one!

SNOWFLAKE

  • A flake of snow
  • The snow that falls above me is like from a dream

  • A decoration that consists of thin strips of metal foil
  • I always get caught on tinsel

WREATH

  • An arrangement of leaves, flowers, or stems fastened into a ring used for decoration

  • A drink made from a mixture of beaten eggs, cream, and flavorings, usually with alcohol.
  • I love to drink eggnog
