When Chuck Close was 11 his father died.despite the tragedy he drew very vivid and imaginative artwork and was very talented.

Chuck close graduate the University of Washington in 1962 and then graduated to the University of Wales for a degree in Art.

Unfortunately in 1988 Chuck Close had sever trauma to his spine, and got paralyzed in his lower torso. He was confined to a wheelchair ,but he went to physical therapy and started painting again.
