Facts

• Young children were targeted by the Nazis to be murdered during the Holocaust.
• Many children suffocated in the crowded cattle cars on the way to the camps.
• Children who survived the cattle cars were immediately taken to the gas chambers.
• The estimated 216,000 Jewish youngsters deported to Auschwitz, but only 6,700 teenagers were selected for forced labor.
• Children who were physiclly concealed had few opportunities for formal study.

• 1933-1935 Jewish children are forbidden from joining any sports.
• May 13, 1938 ages above 14 have to be fingerprinted.
• November 15, 1938 all Jewish children are expelled from German schools and can attend only seperate Jewish schools.
• September 1942 children were deported to the Chelmo killing center, these choices were made by adults when forced with German demands.

• 5,000 to 7,000 children were killed as victims of the euthanasia program children were murdered in reprisals.
• Children from the union villages were killed with their parents.
• More than 1.5 million children from across Europe were murdered under the Nazi regime.
• By the end of the war only a few children had survived the camps.
• Children above the age 10 utilized a prisoners, laborers, and subjects or Nazi medical experiment.

I believe that its really sad how they treated the Jewish and Non Jewish during the Holocaust I mean why couldn't they just get along and come together, why was there so much hate? What was the point o the Holocaust why couldn't they leave the children out of it. But there was so much dangerous people for example the Nazi who would kill the children and force them do to things, that they were too young for. The worst part is that they were so young and the Nazi killing them in a gas chamber and children knew that they were going to die and they would cry and as they were going in they would be carrying there toy and they would have the people who were putting them in the chamber telling them nothing was going to happen but they were just telling them lies as they went towards there death.

Summary

• Children of the Holocaust were always getting killed in a gas chamber they were scared and started crying they would go in with a toy the Nazi would try to calm them down saying they just have to take there cloths of just for a little bit, but as they went in they started screaming knowing they were at the end. Just thinking about makes it sad and scary knowing that, that could have been me but the holocaust
