What is Civic Duty?
Civic duty is the responsibility of all citizens and civilians. Those responsibilities are obeying the law, helping your community, respecting authority figures, protecting the nation in times of danger, serving on juries, and voting.
How will I help make my community better?
I'll make my community better by following the civil duties as I get older. As I'm older and allowed to do certain things, I'll contribute when and if I can.
What do I already do?
During NJHS, we do things that help the community. We raise money during fund raisers for things like cancer. We're even doing Relay for Life again this year to raise awareness of cancer.
What can I do better?
I can find things that the NJHS can contribute to, to make the community better. Like donating food and clothes to the homeless and those who can't afford it.
