This interest group is to spread the awareness of the need to watch out for motorcyclists and to be a support group for those families and individuals who have been victims of a motorcycle-automobile crash.
This interest group spreads the awareness to keep an eye out for motorcyclists. Motorcyclists are often not seen because of blind spots, the sun, and their small size compared to cars. Every year nearly 5,000 individuals lose their life by no fault on their motorcycles from being hit by vehicles. 63% of those deaths occur in the spring. People need this awareness crammed into their head so looking out for motorcyclists is no longer something that takes thought, but a habit.
As a victim of a motorcycle-automobile accident, no one is prepared. Being a family and having a loved one's life taken away is devastating. This is why we're here also as a support group for those affected by these accidents. Being informed of suddenly being stuck in a wheel chair for the rest of your life or that your loved one is gone is a something no one wants to hear. This group brings people together to know they're not alone and to help them get through this terrible experience together.
In order to spread the awareness and our support of the need to watch out for the lives of motorcyclists we will use: 🔺Billboards 🔺Speak with state and local officials 🔺Newspaper adds/mail outs 🔺Social media 🔺PAC
Everyone doesn't realize how easily a motorcyclist passes through you line of vision. In order to save their lives and their families from heartache, we all need to literally LOOK TWICE in these warm weather months upon us.
