- Slavery was really important for the civil war
- The south wanted slaves but the north wanted to end slavery so it started the civil war

- The cotton gin made making cotton easier and a man from the north thought it would end slavery but it increased slavery in the south.

- Abolitionist was people who did not like slavery.They didn't think it was right.They decided to speak fight for freedom for people who were slaves.

- The Underground Railroad was big because slaves it was a way that the slaves fled the south to the north and made fugitive slave act to take them back from the north
MISSOURI COMPROMISE 1820
- Missouri joined the north It helped the north in the civil war and made the south worse
COMPROMISE OF 1850
- It was important because the south wanted more states to have that fugitive slave act and California joined
ELECTION OF 1860
- This was important because it was going to handle the civil war and also if Abraham Lincoln wanted to end slavery maybe if it was a different president a lot would've change .The president was Abraham Lincoln
SECESSION
- It change the us drastically in 1860.11 states seceded from the us in 1860.
