WHAT IS THE CIVILIZATION CONSERVATION CORPS?

• It was a public work relief program that gave jobs to young men
• The CCC gave employment to men ages 18-25
• It was founded in FDR in 1933

WHY WAS THE FOUNDATION CREATED?

• It was created because so many men were out of work
• It gave men and minorities jobs that needed to be woked on
• Like making roads, operating damns and constructing barracks

WAS THE CCC CONSIDERED SUCCESSFUL?

• Yes it was very successful, it gave jobs to a ton of young men
• It was one of the contributors to helping America with the Great depression

IS IT STILL AROUND TODAY?

• No, the foundation came to a close in 1942
• The foundation no longer needed to supply jobs because of WWII
• Almost all men went to war, but some got jobs in factories making war related materials
