General Expectations:
These rules are usually developed together and involve how students will treat and respect one another and their teacher.

Elementary students usually need a routine because it sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Students may need to have rules in place so they know when it is an appropriate time to talk or not.

Most importantly, teachers and students should discuss class rules together (starting on the first day of school). The teacher will make the ultimate decisions, but the students have valuable input, and should agree with the rules put into place.
