• Woodstock was a 3 day festival that involved sex, drugs, and rock and roll.
• It started August 15 thru the 18th in 1969.
• It was at Max Yasgur's dairy farm in the town of Bethel New york.

History of woodstock

• On wednesday August 13th there were already 50,000 people camping by the stage.
• The event became free
• When everyone found out it was free a million people headed towards bethel new york.
• The police had to turn awayy thousands of people
• An estimated 500,000 people showed up to woodstock

music starts

• Friday evening Richie havens got up on stage and started woodstock. Sweetwater, and Joan Baez played friday night also.
• The music started up again saturday at noon with Quill and went non stop until sunday morning at about 9 am.

• Sunday night with only about 150,000 people left Jimi Hendrix was the last musician to play at woodstock he finished early monday morning.
• The crowd was down to 25,000 people monday morning.

After woodstock

• The organizers of woodstock were dazed at the end of the festival.
• They had a debt over 1 million dollars and 70 law suits against them.
• The film of woodstock festival turned into a hit movie and covered a large chunk of the debt from the festival.
• They still owed $100,000

WHy i chose Woodstock

• I chose woodstock because I think it would have been fun to experience something like woodstock.
