Description

  • They are 4.3 inches long.
  • They use their fins to swim in the ocean.

Habitat

  • They live in the ocean in sea anemones.
  • They also live in the Indian and Pacific oceans.

Food

  • Clownfish eat algea, zooplankton and scraps from other fish.
  • They also eat dead anemone tentacles.
  • A layer of mucus on the clownfish's skin makes it immune to the fish-eating anemone's deadly sting.

Life Cycle

  • Fire clownfish can lay up to 500 eggs!
  • Clownfish lay eggs on coral reefs.
  • Baby clownfish can be called a fry or a Larvae.
