TYPES OF CNIDARIANS

Adaptations for survival
Cnidarians live In water. They have specialized tissues for example the muscle tissues help cnidarian move. The jellyfish swims and the hydras somersault.

In the Cnidaria sexual reproduction often involves a complex life cycle with both polyp and medusa stages.

The phylum Cnidaria's organisms only live in water. They live in both fresh and salt water.

Cnidarians are pointed out from all other animals by having cnidocytes that fire like harpoons and are used mainly to capture prey. In some species cnidocytes can also be used as anchors.
