FROM SOUTHEAST ALASKA TO BAJA CALIFORNIA ALONG THE PACIFIC COAST ARE

THE COAST RANGES

THE MOUNTAIN RANGE IS 2,000 FEET TO 20,000 FEET HIGH. THE MOUNTAIN RANGE IS

LONGER THAN 5,000 MILES

PACIFIC COASTAL PLAIN SLOPES INTO THE SEA AND CREATES SMOOTH SANDY BEACHES

THE COAST RANGE HAS BEEN FORMED FROM FAULTING AND FOLDING ROCK.

MAJOR SETTLEMENTS INCLUDE SAN DIEGO, L.A, SAN FRANCISCO, AND SEATTLE.

SETTLEMENTS ALONG THE PACIFIC COAST HAS BEEN LIMITED TO A FEW AREAS WHERE

THERE ARE PLAINS OR BAYS

ON THE COAST RANGES IS VERY NARROW AND DEEP WATER OCCURRING WITHIN

25 MILES OF THE COAST

THE AVERAGE ELEVATION OF THE COAST RANGES IS ABOUT 3,300 FT ABOVE SEA LEVEL

FROM SOUTH TO NORTH BOTH SUMMERS AND WINTERS ARE GETTING DRIER FROM

DROUGHT

THERE ARE OFTEN REPORTS OF BIGFOOT SIGHTINGS
