My name is Gabrille Chanel, aka Coco Chanel. I was born on August 19, 1883 in Saumur, France where I was raised in an orphanage.

I opened my first clothing shop in 1910 and launched my first perfume in 1921.

I am famous for my timeless designs, trademark suits, and so much more.

My impact on society.

I made trousers for women which were for men at the time.

I started the trend of "Suntanning"

I also made jersey's for women which were also for men at the time.

I launched one of the world's first branded perfumes.

I also started the trend of costume jewelry which is making jewelry with inexpensive materials.

One design that I made that changed the whole fashion industry was the Little Black Dress.

And last, but not least, I also designed the Chanel Suit.

I was the face of the whole fashion industry. My goal in life was for women to have comfortable clothing.

Since I never married or had kids, I passed down my legacy to Karl Lagerfeld, a fashion designer, who now runs Chanel and Fendi.
