  • An arrangement where two people who are not married live together
  • In a emotional or sexually intimate relationship on a long term basis
  • Group Definition:
  • Living together before marriage as a couple having coitus

DOES IT FORESHADOW DIVORCE

  • It has been thought to foreshadow divorce for many years
  • New studies show, Arielle Kuperberg a sociologist took data from a survey
  • Out of 7 thousand that were married over 80% stayed together 4-6 yrs.
  • The couples divorced was due to age, lacking experience, maturity.
  • Avg. age picking a correct spouse is 23. And roughly 23% woman married stay

COHABITATION GROUPS THOUGHTS

  • It isn't always a bad thing
  • You can live together and not engage in coitus
  • But if you are going to "do it" anyways it isn't going to matter
  • It is all depending on your situation

SAINT JOHN NEUMANN

  • March 28, 1811-January 5, 1850
  • All schools and parishes named "Neumann" after him
  • He was a priest and Bishop
  • Preached a lot about cohabitation throughout his life
  • Main focus in his sermons

  • Make us see what we should do
  • What we should avoid in order to save our souls
  • It shows us how to avoid living together
  • We would have the temptation to engage in coitus
  • Gives us the ability to not sin.
