The cell membrane is like the path that surrounds the school. It shows the boundaries and controls the movement of what's inside.

CYTOPLASYM

JELLY LIKE FLUID THAT FILLS THE CELLS
The cytoplasm is like the students at the school. They fill up the majority of the school like the cytoplasm fills up the cell.

CYTOSKELETON

NETWORK OF PROTEINS THAT HELPS CELL MOVEMENT
The cytoskeleton is like the stairs at a school. It helps the students get to where they need to be and move about campus just like the cytoskeleton helps the cell move around.

NUCLEUS

IS THE CONTROL CENTER OF THE CELL
The nucleus is like the main office of a school. It holds all the records and important information about the school and students just like the nucleus holds information for the cell and organelles.

NUCLEOLUS

DENSE REGION WITHIN THE NUCLEUS
The nucleolus is like the principal of a school. The nucleolus is in charge of making ribosomes and is inside the nucleus. The principal is in charge of the school and has an office in the main building which acts as the nucleus.

SMOOTH ER

MAKES LIPIDS AND VESICLES
The smooth ER is like the school cafeteria. Just like how the smooth ER creates lipids and vesicles, the school cafeteria makes a variety of foods for the students.

ROUGH ER

TRANSPORTS AND MODIFIES PROTEINS MADE ON RIBOSOMES
The rough ER is like the school library. The rough ER transports and modifies proteins and contains ribosomes. The library contains many information sources which can improve your knowledge and it is filled with books.

RIBOSOMES

LINK AMINO ACIDS TOGETHER AND THE SITE OF PROTEIN SYNTHESIS
The ribosomes are like the sport teams at a school. They bring teammates together and As a team, they compete just like how ribosomes are the site of protein synthesis.

GOLGI APPARATUS

STORE, MODIFY AND PACKAGE PROTEINS MADE OF RIBSOMES
The Golgi apparatus is like a teacher. Just like how the Golgi apparatus stores, modifies and packages proteins, the teachers they store information into the students by teaching them. They are also not apart of the main office because they work in a classroom just like how the Golgi apparatus is not attached to the nucleus.

VESICLE

TRANSPORTS MATERIALS WITHIN THE CELL
The vesicles are like the speakers found in every classroom. The vesicles transports materials for the cell just like how every morning the speakers transport important information to the students and staff.

MITOCHONDRIA

THE POWERHOUSE OF THE CELL
The mitochondria is like the technology at a school. The mitochondria generates energy through a series of chemical interactions and keeps the cell functioning the same way that if we didn't have the technology like iPads and smart boards at school, we wouldn't be able to function to our best ability.

VACUOLE

STORE WATER, FOOD, AND BROKEN DOWN WASTE
The vacuole is like the lockers at a school. The vacuole stores proteins, food and broken down waste the same way a locker can store your lunch, unnecessary papers and other school supplies.

LYSOSOME

SPECIALIZED VESICLES THAT CONTAIN DIGESTIVE ENZYMES
The lysosomes is like the showers in the gym locker room. The showers supply water to help remove dirt and clean you after a workout just like the lysosomes helps remove and break down waste in a cell.

CENTRIOLE

AIDS IN CELL DIVISION
The centriole is like a school counselor. Just like how the centriole helps the cell divide, the school counselor helps the senior class decide where they want to go once they graduate and they all will divide into new schools and paths of life.

CELL WALL

GIVES THE CELL PROTECTION, SUPPORT AND SHAPE
The cell wall is like the gate that surrounds the school. The gate provides protection to the students and the school. It shapes the schools and its boundaries just like how the cell wall provides protection, support and shape to the cell.

CHLOROPLAST

IT IS THE GREEN PIGMENT IN CHLOROPHYLL/CARRIES OUT PHOTOSYNTHESIS
Chloroplast is like high school graduation. The previous four years led up to it and it was the process of creating young adults just like how chloroplast carries out the process of photosynthesis and makes glucose.
