THE BEGINNING
The Cold War began after WW2.
The USSR and United States gained interests with their own growth after the war.
The conflict came from the two nations wanting to achieve their political and economic goals.
The US has a democracy while the USSR is communist.
The name came due to the fact that there were no physical confrontations.
3.
ECONOMIC SYSTEMS
The US has a free enterprise economy.
This means the people and private business are in charge of their money.
The USSR is a communist state meaning the government is in charge of the money.
The people are not well represented.
4.
US FORGIN POLICY
The USSR supported wars of national liberation or colonial revolution.
Mainly against the United States and it's allies.
5.
KITCHEN DEBATE
This debate was between Nixon and Krushchev
It showed the conflict between the two nations.
It also portrayed the different beliefs of the two countries and how it could lead to conflict.
