PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Origins of the Cold War
The Cold War in a sense began during World War Two. Tensions between the Soviet Union and the United States. The lack of communication during World War Two and mistrust of each other started the Cold War.
The Cold War got its name because it was not a war fought with guns and men. It was a war fought with technology, each country pushing the other to out do them.
Capitalism focuses on each person doing their on and controlling their wealth. While with communism everyone is equal.
After the US began their plan of containment, preventing communism from spreading, Russia tried harder to force communism in countries, targeting ones who were rather new and easily influenced.
The kitchen debate illustrated how high tensions were between the soviets and the Americans. It also showed how easily debates and fights between the two could occur.
