PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Collisions by Zachary Mathew
Elastic Collision
This is an example of elastic collision because if the rubber bands were released, they would bounce off each other, not stick with each other because this would be inelastic.
Inelastic Collision
A car accident is an example of an inelastic collision because in this case, the pole did not move, and the car joined in making one big mass. Inelastic Collision is when objects stick.
Explosion/recoil
A rocket ship lift off is an example of an explosion because it is an object propelled upward by the use of an explosion to be sent in to space.
Impulse
- An example of impulse would be if you wanted to figure out the change in momentum from maybe a car accident. Impulse is found by measuring the force multiplied by the time.
- Impulse is found by measuring the force multiplied by the time.
Conservation of Momentum
- An example of conservation of momentum is a gun being shot. Before a gun is fired, the momentum of the rifle and the bullet is at zero, after it is fired, the momentum must return to zero.
