• THE ORCHID:it is the national flower of Colombia, it is known by one of the richest things of Colombia and it is most situated in rocky places like near of Bogotá and in Antioquia departments like Caldas, Risaralda, Boyacá, Santander, Huila, Valle Del Cauca and Nariño.

RELIGION

• The main religion in Colombia is the catholiclism. It started when Cristobal Colón came to America. Hispanic conqueors started to teach the catholic religion and gospelize indigenous tribes.

LITERATURE

• Colombian literature has many genres, like romanticism, poetry and magical realism. Some important authors are: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Candelario Obeso, Rafael Pombo, Jose Rivera and Jorge Isaacs. The most recognized autor was Gabriel Garcia Marquez,who won a nobel prize for literature in 2014 for his work 100 años de soledad.

FOOD

• Some typical food are: ajiaco, ants, arepa, rice with cocnut milk, buñuelos, empanadas, pandebono, patacon and a lot more. However the national plate is called bandeja paisa, wich consist of a grilled stick, fried pork grind, chorizos or sausages, rise, red beans topped with fried egg and a slice of avocado and sweet banana.

• Colombia is the 26th of the world and the 4th largest country in South America after Brazil, Argentina and Peru. Colombia is divided into departments, municipalities, indigenous territories, regions and provinces.
