Introduction
Today I'm going to be talking about the colon that belongs in the digestive system. It isn't that complicated as it sounds if you pay attention and study it.

The Colon (large intestine) belong in the family called the "Digestive System" this system helps to digest food for nutrients, and it is our source to our energy we use in our everyday life.

The function to the colon is that it removes water, salt, and nutrients from the undigested material that is left behind in the small intestine.

The colon interacts with other organs starting at the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and finally its self.

Colorectal Cancer
This cancer grows in the colon or rectum, it affects all racial and ethnic groups, It is found in mainly people aged 50 years and older. This cancer is the third most common cancer found in men and women. You would think the cancer has symptoms but the truth is that it has no symptoms at all, That's why you should get screened regularly after the age of 50.

Colonic Polyps
This is a stage in colon cancer, this stage is where there is an abnormal growth of tissue in the vowels. Causing colon cancer.

The survival rate without the colon is a good rate but you would have to get an ileostomy which helps get rid of waste from your body.

Conclusion
This organ is not the most important organ in our body system but it does help our digestive system get rid of waste and our body to get nutrients.
