A group of Puritans from England.Captain John Smith sailing the Mayflower.
Came to America to practice their own religion.Also to create an environment for other Puritans.
Native Americans helped the colonists survive the first winter.Many tribes lived in the New England area.
Soil was found to be fertile.Winters were bitterly cold.
Colonists raised food(corn&vegetables)for their families and trade.Raised cattle & trapped fur.
Colonists lived entire lives around religious beliefs.They believed they were building a kingdom for god on Earth.
Was a theocracy they believed they got their power from God.Only white men with good relation with the church could vote.
