SYMPTOMS

  • The inability to distinguish between shades of red and green.
  • This visual disability is usually self diagnosable, there are several tests on the internet.

WHAT HAPPENS

  • Your eye retinas are composed of rods and cones. Rods help your vision in low light
  • Cones are like rods but they help you see color and when there is an abnormality with cones so they are missing cones so they cant see certain colors because the photoreceptors can't see the color.

MOST COMMON TYPES OF COLOR BLINDNESS

  • There are three main types of color blindness they are anomalous, protanomaly, and deuteranomaly
  • The most common non-seeable colors are red, green, blue, and yellow
