THINGS THEY DID

  • Migrated from Wyoming
  • They were hunter-gatherers
  • Used horses as main source of transportation
  • Wore european clothes, silver concho and leather boots

COMANCHE LIFE

  • Lived in tee-pees
  • Were warriors and traders and theives
  • Spoke more than one language
  • Comanche's pushed the Spanish south
  • Attacked settlers and stole horses and cattle

FACTS

  • One chiefs name was Buffalo Hump
  • He signed a treaty with the US Government in 1846
  • Their land was sold to white settlers in 1901
  • They still live in the area around Lawton
