  • These are just a few of the foods that can help combat the effects of anxiety , and stress on your body mind.

  • I cannot discuss the good without discussing without discussing the bad foods that can harm your body,and make you feel more anxious and depressed.
  • The foods that are over processed ,refined sugar filled Frankenfoods.
  • Thease foods use contain one or more of the fallowing ingredients.
  • Caffeine, Artificial and refined sugars.
  • Gluten
  • Dairy
  • Soda.
  • Fast foods.

ASPARAGUS

  • Contains folate
  • People with Anxiety and Depression tend to have elevated levels of folate deficiency.
  • One cup provides 2/3 your daily folate value
  • Folate is B vitamin necessary for cell growth and repair.

AVACADO

  • Rich in stress relieving B6 which aids the body in its production of neurotransmitters .
  • Serotonin is the neurotransmitter that influences your moods,and helps sleep.
  • Contains the B vitamins : Thiamine,Riboflavin,and Niacin and deficiency’s in can cause people increased anxiety.
  • Contains heart healthy fats that can help lower anxiety and depression.

SALMON

  • Rich in omega 3 fatty acids which are very effective with helping combat anxiety and depression.
  • Omega 3 fatty acids can also be found in : chia seeds,soybeans,walnuts,and cold pressed olive oil.

BLUEBERRIES

  • Contain vitamin C which are bodies crave when we are upset and anxious.
  • Vitamin C helps repair and protect our cells.
  • They are filled with antioxidants which can help provide stress relief ,and aid in the reduction of anxiety.

TURKEY

  • Contain Tryptophan the ingredient the in Turkey that helps put you to sleep.
  • Tryptophan is a Amino Acid that the body needs to produce the neurotransmitter serotonin which helps regulate mood and sleep patterns.

ALMONDS

  • Almonds contain magnesium which is very effective in the treatment of anxiety related symptoms.
  • Inadequate levels of magnesium reduce the levels of serotonin in the brain.
  • 1 ounce of almonds contains 75mg of magnesium which is 19% of what is the recommended value.

YOGURT

  • The best yogurt to eat are the ones that contain live active cultures.
  • Probiotic foods have been proven to reduce social anxiety.
  • Other recommended probiotic foods are: pickles , sauerkraut,and miso

HOW ANXIETY AND STRESS CAN EFFECT WEIGHT LOSS

  • When we are anxious or depressed we often crave high fat sugar laden foods.
  • When the body stays in a state of fight or flight mode the body reacts by increasing your cortisol levels.
  • Prolonged depression and anxiety can cause adrenal Exhaustion.Symptoms of adrenal exhaustion are:
  • Overeating
  • Skipping meals

  • Dark leafy greens like kale are linked antioxidant rates helping relieve anxiety and depression.
  • Rich in beta-carotene and vitamin E which are all needed to to boast antioxidants .( which act as our cells defense systems against bacteria and disease.
