COMMANDMENT 10

  • #10 : "You shall not covet your neighbors good."
  • Commandment 7 also relates "You shall not steal."

7TH AND 10TH

  • Most fundamental laws regarding personal possession
  • Theft brings chaos and injustice to society
  • Christ taught and preached a lot about material possessions

MAMMON

  • Mammon: when you worship wealth or property
  • No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and MAMMON. ( Matthew 6:24 )

ENVY VS. GREED

  • Envy: desire to be someone or something
  • Greed: intense desire with something - selfishness

SOLIDARITY

  • This is important because it shows us that we are connected by an intricate web of life
  • The life and dignity of others is very important

PLAGIARISM

  • Copying someone else's words or ideas without permission or giving proper credit

  • It has been around for ages but now it is far easier to steal/plagiarize
  • People steal work, pirate movies, music and it's so easier because of the Internet

WHAT IVE LEARNED

  • Plagiarism is a terrible thing that has been tired to be stopped but people don't listen
  • Stealing anything that it not yours goes against God's teachings
