CLARAN UELAND

  • She lived from October 10,1860 to march 1,1927
  • She was president of the Minnesota league of women voter.
  • She married a lawyer named Andreas Ueland.
  • She was a great leader.
  • She died by getting hit by a truck crossing the road to get to her house. She died on accident

PROGRESSIVISM

  • Concerns targeted were direct and indirect of the wave of immigrants.
  • Political parties used the voting base to pursue goals, jobs, and housing.
  • The progressive era was from the 1900 through the end of World War 1.
  • The movement caused more organization of money and jobs.
  • This also was a huge part of corruption and government problems.

WOMAN SUFFRAGE

  • Woman wanted the right to vote.
  • The woman went to the governor to let the woman vote.
  • The woman had suffrage parades to persuade there right to vote.
  • In 1919 they allowed women to vote for president.

  • Looses there money.
  • People got mad that a lot of shops/stores shut down.
  • They have to work harder to get there money back.

  • The government shut down/looses money.
