• The City of Greater Dandenong is a local government area in the southeast suburbs of Melbourne. It has approximately 146,000 residents and is the most culturally diverse municipality in Victoria. There are 26,500 young people (12-25 years) in the city of greater Dandenong and13,200 were Born overseas.

• The Pratt Foundation that has many visy factories within the CGD wanted to find a way to help the young of the CGD.
• The Visy cares centre was established to promote social responsiblity by developing projects that enhance the quality of life for the community.

WHAT THEY DO FOR THE COMMUNITY

• Visy cares is an organisation that receives money from different companies, and donates to community services that need it
• Visy cares aims are to build the community through strong relationships.

WHAT ARE THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE

• They help the youth by giving them jobs and providing lots of things like
• Internet access
• Dance Studio
• Basketball courts
• Health care centre. and many other services.
• Some of the services provided are youth support and case management multicultural Services
• Pathways for education and employment drug and alcohol services young parents leadership programs.

WHERE THEY GET THEIR MONEY FROM

• They get funds from the Federal and State Government as well as many businesses that donate. They want to pay off the basketball courts and Dance studios and much more.
