  • They are considered the most dangerous
  • They're conditions have a high amount of viscosity and gas
  • They have andesitic magma
  • These volcanoes are typically 10 miles across and 10000 or more feet high

EXAMPLES WHERE THEY ARE FOUND

  • Vesuvius
  • Krakatoa
  • Fujiyama
  • Mount St. Helens
  • They are mainly found around the Pacific Rim
