WHY COMPOST?

  • An easy and economical way to reduce household waste and repurpose it for a variety of useful projects
  • Reduce your carbon footprint: Reduce, reuse, recycle
  • Save money on waste management costs: fewer garbage stickers

Composting is simply the process of decomposition. It occurs naturally, with or without human intervention.

WHAT TO COMPOST?

  • Leaves, yard/garden waste, grass clippings
  • Kitchen scraps: fruit & veggie stems and peels
  • Egg shells, coffee grounds

WHAT NOT TO COMPOST?

  • Fats, oils, grease
  • Meat or bones
  • Dairy products
  • Pet waste or manure
